"Trial limit reached" - what now
The trial covers three tasks on this device. Here's what counts as a task, what stays free, what waits for a licence, and what happens after them.
01What counts as a task
A download, a conversion, an export from the Editor, and a screen recording longer than 3 minutes each count as one task; the recording takes it the moment it passes 3 minutes. A video that Following downloads for you is a download like any other, so it counts too. Browsing, detecting a stream, previewing a clip, and changing settings don't count - you can explore the whole app without spending anything. Screenshots and recordings up to 3 minutes are free without limit, and so is Test 5 s. When no task is left, a recording stops at 3:00 and is saved, so nothing is lost.
02What needs a licence from the start
A shared box needs a ClipHearth license on every computer in it, also on the one that only joins, so the trial cannot be used for it. AI subtitles and translation need a license too, except when the site or the file already has subtitles in your language. Following works in the trial while tasks remain: new videos wait for your click and each download uses one task. Once the tasks are gone, Following is paused until a licence is active, and your channels are kept.
03Where you can see what's left
Home shows Free trial · 2 of 3 tasks left under the link box, with Get a license next to it, as long as this computer has no licence. The licence card at the bottom of the sidebar reads Free trial 3/3 and counts down. Clicking either opens the ClipHearth license window with the same information in full.
04After the third task
Home says Free trial used up, and the next download, recording, or conversion opens a window headed FREE TRIAL COMPLETE instead of starting: Buy a license opens cliphearth.com, or paste a key you already have under Already have a key? and press Activate. The job carries on the moment the key is activated. Everything you already downloaded, converted, or exported stays on your disk and is yours to keep.
05Continue with a licence
Pick a lifetime licence or a monthly plan on our pricing page. The key arrives by e-mail within moments of the payment and is also shown on the confirmation page, so you can carry on straight away. Following and the shared box come with the licence, and so do AI subtitles.
