Browser extension

Send the page you are on to ClipHearth

The free ClipHearth extension for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox adds a button, a shortcut, and a right-click menu to your browser. One click hands the page to ClipHearth on your computer, which opens the quality choice for the video or sound on it. Everything else happens in the app.

Needs the ClipHearth app on your computer. Download it and try it free for 3 tasks.

How it works

  1. Click the ClipHearth button in the toolbar or press Alt+Shift+D. Or right-click a page, a link, a video, or a sound and pick Download video, Download sound only, or Follow this channel from the ClipHearth menu. In Chrome and Edge, pin the button from the extensions menu so it stays in sight.
  2. ClipHearth comes up with the quality choice for that page: pick a quality, only the sound, or the subtitles the video already has. Nothing downloads until you choose. Follow this channel opens its list of videos with a Follow button.
  3. With ClipHearth 1.5.3 or later the extension reaches the app directly: the browser does not ask first, the extension starts ClipHearth when it is not running, and its button shows how the downloads are going. With an older ClipHearth, the browser asks whether to open it; allow it and tick the box so it does not ask again.
  4. Installed the extension before the app? It opens a page that tells you where to get ClipHearth.

Privacy

The extension hands the address of the page you are on, or of the link you right-clicked, to the ClipHearth app on your computer, and only when you click. It cannot see your pages otherwise, collects nothing, and sends nothing to us or anyone else. It can also start ClipHearth and show how its downloads are going on its button; the app tells it only how many downloads run and how far they are, on your computer. The app then opens that address from your computer to show what it can save. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
