Follow a podcast or a playlist
Following looks for new episodes of a podcast or a playlist every few hours while ClipHearth runs, and saves them into a folder named after it.
01Press Follow
Follow sources whose episodes you may keep, such as podcasts that offer their episodes for download, your own channel, or media you are authorized to save. Open a playlist or a channel in the Browser and click the playlist button: its window has a Follow button. The bar that appears for a copied link has one too. Or open Following in the sidebar (the bell) and paste the address of a channel, a playlist, or a podcast feed.
02What ClipHearth does from then on
While it runs, ClipHearth checks the channel shortly after it starts and then every 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours; 3 hours is the default. New episodes are downloaded in the quality you chose into a folder named after the channel. What was already there when you pressed Follow is not downloaded: Older videos... lists those, and you pick from them.
03In the free trial
Downloading new episodes by itself needs a license. In the trial, new episodes wait in Following until you click Download them, and each one counts as a task like any other download, so the trial never runs out without you knowing.
04Check or stop
Look for new videos checks a channel right away. Download new videos by themselves switches the automatic download on or off, and Unfollow removes the channel; files you already downloaded stay in Completed.
05Where the channels are read
ClipHearth reads the channel from your computer, the same way the playlist window does. Nothing about what you follow is sent to us.
