Save just the sound of a page
Audio detection, the original format without re-encoding, and how this differs from pulling the soundtrack out of a video.
01Look for Audio found
Pages that play MP3, AAC, FLAC, or OGG files, sound-only HLS and DASH streams, and music or podcast pages turn the Media detector capsule beside the address bar green with Audio found, and its button reads Download audio.
02Download it in its original format
Audio files are saved exactly as the page serves them, without re-encoding, so nothing is lost and the download is quick. The job shows up in the Queue as Audio download.
03Pulling sound out of a video is a different task
When the page plays video, download it and use the Converter, or press Download audio in Choose video quality straight away. That path re-encodes, and it follows the Sound only format under FORMATS in Settings › Downloads. MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG Vorbis, Opus, WMA, AIFF, and AC-3 are available in the Converter.
04Stay on the right side of it
Save sound you own, created yourself, or are authorized to keep. ClipHearth does not circumvent DRM, and protected content is not supported.
