Add a title, artist, and cover picture to a sound file
Tags & cover writes what music players, phones, and cars show for an MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG, Opus, or WAV file, without touching the sound.
01Open Tags & cover
In Completed, a sound file has a Tags & cover button. It works for files ClipHearth downloaded, recorded, converted, or exported from the Editor.
02Fill in the tags
TITLE, ARTIST, ALBUM, ALBUM ARTIST, YEAR, TRACK (3 or 3/12), GENRE, and COMMENT. For a podcast episode, the episode title and the show's name as artist and album are what most players show.
03Add the cover
Choose picture... takes a JPEG or PNG and saves it into the file at up to 800 pixels; Remove cover takes it out. WAV files cannot carry a cover.
04Save
Save writes the tags into the file. The sound itself is not touched, so there is no quality loss and it takes a moment.
05Downloads come tagged
Sound you download from a page that offers it gets its title, the channel or show as artist, and the date on its own, and the video's picture as the cover where the format allows. Tags & cover lets you correct them.
