Put text, a title card, or a logo over part of a video
The Editor's Text row lays words, a full-picture title, or a picture over any part of a video, fading or sliding in, just as the preview shows it.
01Open the Captions tab
Open the video in the Editor and go to Captions; the TEXT AND TITLES card is there. Play to where the text should appear.
02Add text, a title, or a picture
Add text, or the T key, puts a line of text at the bottom. Add a title puts a card over the whole picture, for an opening or a new part. Add a picture... lays a logo or an image over the video; a PNG with a transparent background works best. Each one goes on the Text row under the preview, from the play position, for 3 seconds.
03Write it and style it
Type into What it says; it can have more than one line. SIZE sets the letters from 2 to 25 % of the picture's height, or a picture from 3 to 100 % of its width. LETTERS has six colours, A dark box behind the words keeps a line readable on a busy picture, and a title's BEHIND IT is A colour or The picture blurred.
04Place it, and choose how it comes and goes
PLACE puts it at the Top, in the Middle, or at the Bottom, or drag it anywhere on the preview. COMES AND GOES has At once, Fading, and Sliding.
05Time it on the Text row
Drag a block to move it, drag its edges to change how long it stays, and click it to edit it later. Blocks may overlap, so a logo can stay while titles come and go. Remove, or the Delete key, takes the picked one off, and Cmd+Z or Ctrl+Z brings it back.
06Export
ClipHearth draws the text itself, so the preview shows it the way the export will. The Text row of WHAT THE EXPORT WILL DO counts the texts, titles, and pictures. Text belongs to this video and is not repeated by APPLY TO MORE FILES, and a video with text is always re-encoded.
