Put a logo or a line of text on a video
The Editor's watermark lays an image or your own text over the picture, in a corner or wherever you drag it, live in the preview and in the export.
01Open the video and go to Picture
Open the video in the Editor with Choose File or by dropping it in, and click Next to the second step, Picture. WATERMARK is the card after COLOUR.
02Tick Add a watermark and pick what it is
Text is selected to start with: type it under The text to show and pick a colour, white, black, yellow, red, green, or blue, or any other as #RRGGBB under Exact values. For a logo, switch to An image (PNG, JPEG) and click Choose image...; a PNG with a transparent background works best.
03Place it
PLACE offers Top left, Top right, Bottom left, Bottom right (where it starts), and Middle; corners keep a small gap from the edge. Or drag the watermark anywhere on the preview, and drag a corner of its frame to change the size. Adjust on preview brings the frame back.
04Size and see-through
SIZE is a share of the picture's width, 20 % to start with. OPACITY says how much of the watermark shows: 70 % visible to start with, Solid at 100. Exact values gives the position and width in pixels of the exported picture, and the opacity in percent.
05What the export does with it
The watermark appears in the preview as you set it and goes into the exported picture after the crop, zoom, and size, so fades include it too. The export is re-encoded and written as a new file; the original stays as it was.
06Joins and more files
Join Multiple Clips has the same card in its Sound & picture step, sized to the first clip. And Apply to more files in Review & export puts the same watermark on every file, in the same corner of each picture.
