Record a call or an online meeting you take part in
Record the call window with the computer's sound and your microphone, or the sound alone, on your computer. Only with everyone's consent.
01Ask first
Tell everyone on the call that you are recording and get their consent before you start. In many countries recording a conversation without it is against the law, and it is simply fair.
02Picture and sound, or sound only
Open Screen recording. WINDOW records the window of the call app; SOUND ONLY records without a picture, for when you only need what was said.
03Both sides of the conversation
Switch on Record the computer's sound for the others and Record a microphone for yourself. Test 5 s, with someone already in the call, checks that both are heard before the meeting starts. Each sound on its own track keeps your voice and the others apart, to balance them in an audio editor later; ClipHearth's Editor and AI Subtitles use only the first track (the others), so for a transcript of both sides leave the sound mixed.
04During the call
Mark a moment when something worth finding later is said, and pause with the shortcut when the talk goes off the record. The indicator with the red dot that shows recording runs is seen only by you.
05Make it useful afterwards
The recording lands in Completed. Cut the small talk by editing the text, add subtitles, or save only the sound as MP3 for listening later. AI parts run on your computer, are optional, and come with the license.
06Keep it to yourselves
Nothing of the recording leaves your computer. Share it only in the way the people in it agreed to.
