The app doesn't accept my licence
Keys that look wrong, revoked or expired licences, a computer removed from a licence, a wrong clock, and an activation server that can't be reached.
01Check how the key was pasted
Copy the whole key from the e-mail, including the groups and the dashes, and paste it into the Activation key field in the ClipHearth license window. A trailing space copied from the e-mail is the usual culprit.
02"This license was revoked"
A licence is revoked when the payment was refunded or charged back. If neither happened to you, write to us from the e-mail address you used at checkout and we'll look it up.
03"This license no longer works on this computer"
The whole message is This license no longer works on this computer. Please contact support. It shows when the licence was cancelled or support removed this computer from it, for example after the licence moved to a new machine, and on the computers activated most recently when a payment for extra computers was refunded. A computer removed from a licence comes back only through support, so write to us from the e-mail address you used at checkout.
04"Subscription expired"
A monthly plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. If a renewal didn't go through, renew it on our website and press Refresh in the ClipHearth license window. The app also confirms the licence on its own while you use it, but Refresh does it immediately.
05The computer's clock is wrong
A licence keeps working when the computer's clock is off: the server's time decides, not the computer's. The ClipHearth license window tells you when the clock is set earlier than the last time ClipHearth confirmed the licence and asks you to set the correct time, or to connect to the internet and click Refresh. Nothing else is needed for the licence. A wrong clock does stop shared boxes from connecting, so ClipHearth also shows The clock on this computer is wrong with the computer's time and the correct time, and Open date and time settings.
06The activation server can't be reached
An activated lifetime licence keeps working offline, so you can carry on. Only the trial and the first activation of a key need a connection. If you are online and it still fails, a company firewall or VPN blocking api.cliphearth.com is the usual cause. The window Activation server offline says only that the server is not answering and that you can try again in a moment.
