Trim a clip and export it
Cut out the part you need, frame by frame, and export it as a new file while the original stays as it was.
01Open the clip
Go to Editor and click Choose File, or send a file over from Downloaded with its Edit button. The preview shows the first frame as soon as the file opens.
02Find where the part starts
Play the clip, or drag the time slider: the preview shows the frame at that position without pressing Play. The -5s and +5s buttons move the playhead in small steps when you are close.
03Set start and Set end
In the TRIM section, Set start puts the beginning of the cut at the current playhead position and Set end does the same for the end. The line next to them shows the range you picked, and Reset clears it.
04Pick the format and the quality
Set FORMAT to mp4, mkv, or mov, or to gif (animated), mp3, or wav if you only need a GIF or the sound. QUALITY offers Fast (smaller file), Balanced, and Best quality. The export re-encodes the clip, which is what makes the cut frame-accurate; Best quality keeps it closest to the source.
05Check what will be applied
The CHANGES line lists everything the export will do, the trim together with any colour, rotation, speed, or audio changes you made. If something is there that you did not mean, change it before you export.
06Export to Queue
Export to Queue sends the job to Jobs, and the new file lands in your output folder. The source file is never overwritten, so you can export another part of the same clip right away.
