Record a webinar while it is live
Check that the webinar plays as a live stream, record it with Record Live, and turn the recording into a file you can share, trim, or listen to.
01Record the webinars you may keep
Your own webinars, and ones whose organiser allows recording. Other people speak and appear in them, so share the recording only in the way the organiser and the participants agreed to.
02Open it in ClipHearth and watch the detector
Open the webinar page in Browser and start watching. When the webinar is broadcast as a live stream, the detector box says Live stream found and the button becomes Record Live. Checking costs nothing: a task is used only once you start recording. If the box never gets past Searching… or Play a video, it is most likely an interactive call where the participants talk to each other on camera; those do not travel as a stream ClipHearth can pick up, so it cannot record them.
03Click Record Live
Start when the webinar starts, or a minute earlier. The box switches to RECORDING and shows the elapsed time and the size so far, and the job appears in Jobs as a live recording. Keep ClipHearth running until the end.
04Stop and Save, or let it end
Stop and Save ends the recording and keeps everything up to that moment. When the organiser ends the broadcast, the recording ends with it and is saved on its own. The video is written as MKV, which stays playable however abruptly it ends, and a short drop in your connection is bridged automatically.
05Missed the start? Look for the replay
When the organiser publishes a replay and it plays as an ordinary video, the box says Video found instead, and Download saves the whole thing with the quality of your choice.
06Make it easy to share and to listen to
MKV plays in most desktop players, but not on every phone or TV. In the Convertor, MP4 with Copy Original as the codecs usually changes only the container, in seconds and without touching the quality. In the Editor, trim off the waiting-room minutes at the start. For listening on the go, convert just the sound to MP3, and to send it by e-mail, make the video smaller with the Small File profile.
