Record a radio programme or a live broadcast at a set time
Let ClipHearth record a stream on its own once, every day, on weekdays, or every week, while it waits in the tray and keeps the computer awake.
01Programmes you may keep
Record what you are allowed to keep: your own broadcast, or a station or an event whose organiser allows recording. ClipHearth does not get around DRM, so protected streams are not supported.
02Open Record a stream later
In the Queue, click Record a stream later, at the top or among the buttons of an empty queue. The window Record a stream at a set time opens.
03Fill it in
ADDRESS takes the address of a radio stream, a .pls or .m3u playlist, or a page with a live broadcast, starting with http:// or https://. NAME is optional; left empty, the recording is named after the stream or the page. STARTS is a day and a time, today at the next full hour to begin with, LENGTH is hours and minutes (1:00 to begin with, 24 hours at most), and REPEAT is Once, Every day, On weekdays, or Every week. Schedule adds it.
04Leave ClipHearth running
ClipHearth must be running at that time; the tray is enough. It keeps the computer awake from a day before, but it cannot wake a computer that sleeps or is switched off. A recording missed that way is reported as Scheduled recording missed the next time ClipHearth starts.
05Find it in the Queue
Scheduled lists each one with its time, its length, how it repeats, and how long until it starts. Remove stops further recordings, and one that is recording now is saved. To change a time, remove it and schedule it again.
06When it records
It records like Record live and is named with the date and the time. If the stream drops, ClipHearth tries again every 30 seconds, and each new start is saved as a new part. The file lands in Completed. Each recording counts as one task in the free trial, and once the trial is used up a scheduled recording is not made.
