Convert many files at once, and check them before you start
Give a whole set of files the same format and quality in one run, and see file by file what will be copied, re-encoded, or skipped before anything starts.
01Add all the files
Open Convertor and click Select Files, or drop several files onto it. Every file in the list gets the same settings.
02Pick the format and the quality once
Choose the output format, then a profile: Balanced, Small File, or High Quality. Advanced mode gives manual control, and MY PRESETS keeps a combination under a name of your choice, so the next batch takes one click.
03Read FILE BY FILE
Review and start lists every file before anything runs. The summary line says how many files will be copied without re-encoding, how many re-encoded, and how many skipped; each file shows its estimated size, what happens to the picture and the sound, whether its subtitle tracks are kept or dropped, and the output name.
04Spot the expensive and the skipped
Copied without re-encoding means the file keeps its quality and is done in seconds. Re-encoded takes longer, and a note warns when a large picture will take a while. A file marked Skipped says why, so you can take it out or change the format before starting.
05Start Conversion
Start Conversion sends the batch to the Queue, where at most two conversions run at a time. The results land in your output folder with _converted added to the name, and show up in Completed as Converted; the originals stay as they are.
06Keep quality where you can
When only the container needs to change, switch on Advanced mode and set VIDEO CODEC and AUDIO CODEC to Copy Original. FILE BY FILE then shows those files as copied: they keep their quality exactly and are done in seconds.
