The browser section won't open on Windows
ClipHearth's built-in browser needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. Here's how to tell whether it's missing and how to install it.
01Check the message
If the Browser section shows Embedded browser is unavailable instead of its start page, and the explanation below it names the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, this page is the right one. Windows 10 and 11 normally include the runtime, but it can be missing on stripped-down or long-unpatched installs.
02Install the runtime
The ClipHearth installer adds the runtime on its own when it is missing, but it needs an internet connection during setup to download it. If setup ran offline, install the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime from Microsoft (it also comes with Microsoft Edge), or simply run the ClipHearth installer again while online, then restart ClipHearth.
03Still empty after a restart
Restart Windows once: the runtime registers itself for your user account at first sign-in. If the section is still empty afterwards, write to us through Contact us at the bottom of the sidebar and pick Problem. We will walk you through switching on diagnostics logging so we can see what went wrong.
Didn't solve it? Write to us - attach a diagnostics log if you have one. Missing a feature? Tell us what you would use it for; several of the recent ones started as a suggestion.
